Fallston Child Care Center is blessed to have a parent church that recognizes the importance of Early Childhood Education.  Integrating bible lessons into our curriculum allows us to nurture our students' minds, bodies, and souls in a "whole child" approach.

Led by Pastor Karin Walker, our students enjoy Bible Story Day twice a month.  During these sessions, they have the opportunity to visit the sanctuary and altar.  Interactive lessons bring the bible to life.  One morning, all the animals had escaped from Noah's Ark and the children had to find and collect them!!  Songs, stories and discussion help bring the bible to life.

For families looking for additional spiritual experiences for their children or famiies, we offer Vacation Bible School, Sunday School, Camp Awesome, and tons of small group activities.  Please feel free to inquire in the church office for a worship schedule, list of volunteers needed, or calendar of upcoming events.  There is so much in store for you at Fallston United Methodist Church!

Music!  What a wonderful language!  Children love music and I love sharing music with them.  Why do we have a regular music program at FCCC?  Scientific studies have shown that music instruction helps in the development of the brain.  Children can express themselves through music at an early age.  Music can create a positive learning environment.  All young children love music, and music instruction will use that basic love to enrich a child’s education and growth experience for a lifetime.

Music is fun!  We will discuss how all sounds are made – vibration.  Everyone can do the “vibration” – just stand up, reach for the sky, shout “vibration” and wiggle down!

Each month we will investigate a new musical concept (rhythm, dynamics, melody, wind instruments and string instruments), sing some of our favorite songs and just have fun with music!  Your child will have the opportunity to see and hear many different instruments, learn about the orchestra’s instrument families and learn many musical terms.

Music is a language and it is a language understood by everyone.  Enjoy a song with your child, have a sing-a-long in your car!  And, always…keep a song in your heart.

At Fallston Child Care Center, our goal is to provide your child with the best possible base upon which to enter Kindergarten.  Our curriculum is rich with letters, numbers, computer work, art projects, music and many of the standards found in common preschool lessons.

However, extensive research has shown that the introduction of a foreign language during these formative years has tremendous benefits as well.  As a result, we have incorporated it into our regular curriculum.

Students in both the Daycare and Preschool Programs will enjoy two formal Spanish lessons a month along with opportunities to add Spanish into their regular classroom activities.  Two, three and four year olds all participate in these lessons.

Our Spanish Program uses games, songs, stories, food, and dance to introduce the following lessons:

  • Numbers 1-20
  • Alphabet
  • Feelings
  • Parts of the Body
  • Colors
  • Culture

Our year’s Spanish Program culminates in a school-wide fiesta at the end of the school year complete with fajitas, a piñata, and games for all!

Fallston Child Care Center is so fortunate to be geographically located next to Fallston Public Library!  What a wonderful resource at our back door!!!

Once a month, our students participate in the Share the Gift program.  Miss Jackie visits with stories, movies, filmstrips, puppets and just plain excitement!!  She brings books alive!

Our classes can frequently be found walking next door to the library for story time or for a special treat!  They offer lots of community programs that we try to utilize regularly.

Catching the reading bug early, enhances life and education experiences for our students!
